Football betting has truly become an American pastime. The NFL has established itself as the dominant sport in the betting world, but NCAA Football betting is quickly becoming just as popular. Earlier, we talked about staying away from games on TV. Now, this is not entirely true. Normally, the big, nationally televised games are the ones you may want to avoid (even though they do have their place). Games on cable or non-marquee matchups on network TV are going to be alright. The bigger games, for example, Michigan-Notre Dame are the types of you will want to consider avoiding. The tremendous media coverage and speculation can throw off your game, plus the sportsbooks will be licking their chops at these games knowing full well they can cash in big with the bigger audience. This leads to tighter lines and therefore a smaller chance of you winning. Nobody wants that! Your goal should always be to maximize your chance of winning.
Always remember that football betting is a game of chance and you aren’t going to cash in on every game you place a bet on, but you can have a winning season when you have a winning game plan and efficient money management skills. It’s up to you to find your own winning combination. Some people are just naturally lucky, they can win a few games and be satisfied.
